An established member of the media and the community at-large, GHG Principal, Gerri Gomez Howard, volunteers her time and has served on numerous boards and committees including:

Rose Community Foundation Child and Family Committee, Denver Preschool Program Board of Advisors, Women’s Foundation of Colorado, Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Parent Pathways, LARASA Advisory Council, Colorado Association for Black Journalists, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Communications Council, National Center for Community Collaborations, Hope Center Business Advisory Council, Greater Denver CARES Mentoring Movement, Colorado MESA, Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund and others. Gerri is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and is also a graduate of the Denver Metro Chamber Foundation Leadership Denver Class of 1993.

With more than two decades of experience in broadcast media – focusing on community relations, cause marketing and multi-platform media campaigns – Gerri enjoyed an 18-year career in television – working for KCNC-TV – a CBS owned and operated station in Denver, Colorado.  In her role as Manager of Community Affairs, and later as a Cause Marketing Business Development Specialist, Gerri increased the visibility of important social issues through sponsor-supported advertising campaigns.  She was recognized with a regional Emmy award for the “Making the Grade” education campaign and was nominated for a regional Emmy award as Executive Producer for the public affairs program, “Mosaic.”

Gerri received her undergraduate degree in communications from Syracuse University and earned a Masters in Applied Communications from the University of Denver.
